winter driving

i have a new found hatred towards winter driving... especially when it requires that i be stuck in the car for over 2 hours per day... just to get to and from work. i have passed by some pretty crazy random accidents on my travels. it really scares me to see people, hands clutched to the steering wheel, afraid to move faster than a crawl. monday morning was the worst so far, and i'm sure the girls at work were starting to worry if i'd ever come by the time 8:00 rolled around. but consolation came in the form of numerous donuts at the end of SMED lane. as long as i can still have some fun while driving, and the ol' Jetta keeps starting up like new, i can survive this.
