Something you can't replace

I may have spoken too soon. After getting a raise, I found out that the Design Studio at Haworth has been eliminated. So, technically I still have a job. Is it one I want? No. But I still consider myself lucky to be employed. Things will just look a lot different from here on. It's very sad to say good-bye to the job I loved and the people that made it so fun. I can't believe how attached I've become after one year in this position. I feel for those who had to say good-bye after a decade of work. The other day I was listening to some Cold Play and I thought of this song differently in light of recent events. All good things really do come to an end. But unlike the hopeless feeling this song leaves you with, I believe it's the beginning to something even more wonderful.
"Fix Me"
Cold Play
When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace

Thankfully, this past weekend I was able to forget about all this mess from work. Bryan and I headed down to Lethbridge to hang out with family. We escaped to the mountains for a day with Richard and Becky as well. There is nothing more calming and peaceful to me than the beauty of the snow covered mountains. And we could not have asked for better weather. Believe me, it was hard to make myself get back in the car and leave the mountains behind. That's why pictures are so amazing.
