Road Trip

Well, I can safely say that I am super stoked to be going to see John Mayer tomorrow night with Leah and Nicole (my side kicks from work) We're gonna spend the day in Edmonton, possibly drive each other crazy (like we always do) and I anticipate some good times.

To my dearest readers... whomever you may be... I am looking for some song suggestions. I have been asked to sing for two weddings this summer, and we are still on the search for the perfect song. So if you have any special tunes in mind, wedding appropriate, please do fill me in.

"They" say you learn something new every day... unfortunately for me, this was just one of the things I learned on this fine Monday morning:

The Meaning of Los
Polish (Los): nickname for a large, ungainly person, from Polish los ‘elk’.
Dutch: nickname from Middle Dutch losch ‘squinting’; ‘cross-eyed’; ‘one-eyed’.

It's a good thing I'm not part polish. I would then be a one-eyed ungainly woman.

Wedding Bells

The wedding season officially started this Easter weekend. And Andrea is now officially Mrs. Mike Nieboer. Congratulations to the new couple! Clearly, no wedding would be complete without making the bride fear for her life... so here are all the girls, together again.

Dan The Man

This evening a bunch of us headed over to Original Joes to celebrate with Dan his 24th birthday. (Dan is the snazzy one wearing the tie in the middle picture, showing us all up by lookin' good on his big day.) Dans another '83 baby... such a great year to be born... (like I had any say in the matter) I've known Dan since I started going to First Church, and let me tell you: He is one solid guy, always on fire for God. We all had an awesome time celebrating with him. This evening also gave everyone a good chance to pick Duane and I apart for awhile. Thankfully they were not too hard on us though. But...anyways! Happy Birthday DAN!
